COVERLET MUSEUM RECEIVES GRANT FOR LIGHTING

NMAC has received a grant for lighting the main exhibition spaces.

The grant was awarded by the Bedford County Endowments, an affiliate of the Community Foundation of the Alleghenies, and was made possible through the Benjamin Bosler Fund.

The project included the removal of existing fluorescent lights and their replacement with low voltage halogen track lighting, to highlight the textiles. In addition to being economically efficient, the new lighting system allows enhanced control, renders more accurate colors and greatly improves the effectiveness of the exhibitions.

Lighting is a significant aspect of the Museum visitor experience, and it is wonderful to achieve this improvement so early in our existence.
